Sweet, Sweet Tart and Fine Art

It's time for a rebirth of art and vintage.

The Good In Eva
This painting was made with acrylic on a 12 in by 18 in canvas. I was inspired by the song Eva by Nightwish. The line “The good in her will be my sunflower field” struck the idea of this painting. At first, the flowers in the field were sunflowers, but a few months later I took the canvas off my wall and decided to make the flowers purple to contrast with the sky.  To me, the song says a lot about bullying and teasing, but my picture shows the way the victim still has a beautiful soul filled with light. TWLOHA.
I like to use my art as a way to get people aware of several problems we have in the world today. One of them is depression.  To Write Love On Her Arms is an organization to help those with depression, self-injury and addiction.  TWLOHA is also a suicide-prevention program.  With this charcoal drawing, I am trying to spread the word.  We have to make the pledge that we will not only help others through rough situations, but ourselves as well.  I pledge.
